Finding community is getting more challenging.  We all wish to be known but at the same time are afraid of the vulnerability that is required if we are to be in true community with one another.  At times, if we are honest, we may actually promote our own loneliness.  Let’s work to change the direction of this!  We hope to explore several of the “One Anothering” verses in the Bible and consider ways we can not only connect to one another but how what steps can we take to begin building real community around us.

Verses:

John 13:34

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

Romans 12:10

10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

Ephesians 4:32

32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Discussion Questions:

  • What is an example of real community from some time in your life? What made that community valuable to you?
  • Where have you looked for community more recently and what have you discovered as you sought community out?
  • What is required of us in order to experience this community we are seeking after?
